On Valentine's Day, the Denver Zoo had a free day, so I organized our MennoMama group from church to go together. Despite the 29 degree temps. and 3 inches of fresh snow, we loved it! Owen went with his good buddy Derek (who I watch on Thursdays), and together they LOVED seeing all the animals. Actually, it was better than I expected b/c most of the animals were inside, meaning very upclose views! Owen and Derek especially loved the alligators, elephants, and peacocks! The picture of all the kiddos was in the "Tropical Discovery" part of the zoo (aka rainforest), a perfect place for a snack! The little boy to the left of Owen is Aidan, his other
buddy that he stays with on Tuesdays. It was a great Valentine's Day treat! As you can see, everyone was exhausted afterwards, meaning a nice LONG afternoon nap for Mom!
